   ❃ The selection process for the UPSC EPFO EO/AO (Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer) and APFC (Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner) posts generally consists of two main stages ❃ 


  Recruitment Test (RT): This is a written, offline (pen-and-paper) exam.

  Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who qualify the written test are called for an interview.

★ The final selection is based on a combined merit list from both stages, with the Recruitment Test and Interview carrying a weightage of 75% and 25%, respectively

Recruitment Test (Written Exam)

  ➜  Mode ➵  Offline (Pen-and-paper based). Candidates mark answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen.

 ➜  Type of Questions  ➵   All questions are multiple-choice and objective.

 ➜  Number of Questions ➵  120

  ➜   Total Marks ➵  300

 ➜   Duration ➵   2 hours (120 minutes)

 ➜   Negative Marking ➵  Yes. One-third (1/3) of the marks assigned to a question are deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

     The syllabus for the EO/AO and APFC exams is comprehensive and covers a range of subjects. While there can be some minor variations, the core subjects for both posts are largely similar.

    ➨   General Science and Knowledge of Computer Applications   ➠  Fundamentals of science and basic computer knowledge.

    ➨   Elementary Mathematics, Statistics, and General Mental Ability   ➠  Quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and data interpretation.

   ➨  Social Security in India    ➠   Understanding of social security schemes and laws in the country.

  Interview  

     ➨  Marks: 100

    ➨   Purpose    ➠   To assess the candidate's personality, aptitude, and suitability for the post.

    ➨   Qualifying Marks  ➠  There are minimum qualifying marks for the interview, which vary by category (e.g., General, OBC, SC/ST).
