BIHAR BPSC SPECIAL SCHOOL TEACHER

 The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Special School Teachers in Bihar. Here's a breakdown of the vacancy details, exam pattern, and syllabus:

1. Vacancy Details:

 * Total Posts: 7279 Special School Teacher vacancies.

 * Post-wise distribution:

   * Primary (Class 1 to 5): 5534 posts

   * Upper Primary (Class 6 to 8): 1745 posts

 * Application Dates:

   * Online Application Start Date: July 2, 2025

   * Online Application Last Date: July 28, 2025

 * Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025):

   * Minimum Age: 18 Years

   * Maximum Age:

     * General (Male): 37 Years

     * Backward/Extremely Backward (Male) & All Women Categories: 40 Years

     * SC/ST (Male/Female): 42 Years

 * Eligibility Criteria:

   * For Class 1 to 5:

     * Minimum 50% in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent.

     * Valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India.

     * D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education).

     * Must have successfully passed the BSSTET Paper I Exam (Special School Teacher Eligibility Test, 2023).

     * Must be a citizen of India.

   * For Class 6 to 8:

     * Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.

     * Valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

     * B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) in Special Education, or a Certificate/Diploma in Special Education along with a B.Ed. considered equivalent to a B.Ed.

     * Must have successfully passed the BSSTET Paper II Exam (Special School Teacher Eligibility Test, 2023).

     * Must be a citizen of India.

2. Exam Pattern:

The BPSC Special School Teacher Exam will consist of a single paper with 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 150 marks. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). There is no negative marking.

The exam is divided into three parts:

 * Part 1: Language (Qualifying in nature)

   * Questions: 30

   * Marks: 30

   * Subjects: English (compulsory for all) and one of the following: Hindi, Urdu, or Bengali.

   * Minimum qualifying marks: 30%

 * Part 2: General Studies & Special Education

   * Questions: 40

   * Marks: 40

   * Subjects: Elementary Mathematics, Mental Ability Test, General Awareness, General Science, Social Science, Indian National Movement, Geography and Environment.

 * Part 3: Concerned Subject

   * Questions: 80

   * Marks: 80

   * Candidates need to choose one subject from the given options based on their qualification and the class they are applying for.

Exam Structure based on Post:

 * For Primary Teacher (Classes 1-5): The exam will have Part 1 (Language) and Part 2 (General Studies). The General Studies section will cover 120 questions for 120 marks. The merit list will be prepared based on Part 2 marks.

 * For Middle School Teacher (Classes 6-8): The exam will have Part 1 (Language), Part 2 (General Studies), and Part 3 (Subject Paper).

   * Part 1: Language (30 Q, 30 M)

   * Part 2: General Studies (40 Q, 40 M)

   * Part 3: Subject Paper (80 Q, 80 M) - Choose one from: Mathematics & Science, Social Science, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, or English.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Test:

 * General Category: 40% (60 Marks)

 * Backward Class: 36.5% (54.75 marks)

 * Extremely Backward Class: 32.5% (48.75 marks)

 * SC/ST/Tribal Women & Disabled Candidates: 32% (48 marks)

3. Syllabus:

The syllabus for the BPSC Special School Teacher exam generally covers topics as per the SCERT/NCERT books for the respective class levels.
