* Stenographer Grade 'C': 18 to 30 years (Candidates born not before August 2, 1995, and not later than August 1, 2007).
* Stenographer Grade 'D': 18 to 27 years (Candidates born not before August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2007).

The selection process for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D consists of two stages:

* English Language & Comprehension (100 questions, 100 marks)
