SSC STENOGRAPHER GRADE C & D RECRUITMENT 2025

 The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Recruitment 2025. Here's a detailed overview:

                                                    Vacancies:

 * Total Vacancies: 261 posts for Grade C and Grade D Stenographer.

                                      Eligibility Criteria (as on August 1, 2025):

 * Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

                                                          Age Limit:

   * Stenographer Grade 'C': 18 to 30 years (Candidates born not before August 2, 1995, and not later than August 1, 2007).

   * Stenographer Grade 'D': 18 to 27 years (Candidates born not before August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2007).

 * Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen) as per government rules.

 * Nationality: Indian citizens, subjects of Bhutan/Nepal, Tibetan refugees, and Indian-origin migrants with permanent intent to settle in India.

 * Number of Attempts: Unlimited attempts within the age limit.

 * Experience: No prior experience is required, but knowledge of Stenography is essential for the Skill Test.

                                               Application Process:

         Visit the Official Website: Go to the new SSC website: ssc.gov.in.

 * One-Time Registration (OTR): Complete the OTR process if you haven't already. This is mandatory to apply for any SSC recruitment.

 * Fill Application Form: Log in and fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and communication details.

 * Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photo and signature as per the specifications.

  Pay Application Fee:

   * General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/-

   * Women candidates, SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Nil (Exempted)

   * Payment can be made through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or E-Challan (offline mode).

 * Final Submission: Submit the form before the last date.

 * Correction Window: If any corrections are needed after submission, you can use the correction window (July 1-2, 2025). Correction charges apply (Rs. 200 for the first time, Rs. 500 for the second time).

                                            Selection Process:

The selection process for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D consists of two stages:

 * Computer-Based Test (CBT):

   * This is an online objective type examination.

   * Subjects:

     * General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions, 50 marks)

     * General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks)

     * English Language & Comprehension (100 questions, 100 marks)

   * Total: 200 questions, 200 marks.

   * Time Duration: 2 hours (200 minutes for PwD candidates).

   * Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers, -0.25 (1/4th) for incorrect answers.

   * The exam will be bilingual (Hindi and English) except for the English Language section.

 * Skill Test in Stenography:

   * Candidates shortlisted based on their CBT scores will be called for the Skill Test.

   * This test is qualifying in nature and does not carry any marks.

   * Candidates will be given a dictation in English or Hindi, which they need to transcribe on a computer.

   * Dictation Speed:

     * Stenographer Grade 'C': 100 words per minute (w.p.m.)

     * Stenographer Grade 'D': 80 words per minute (w.p.m.)

   * Transcription Time:

     * Stenographer Grade 'C': English- 40 minutes, Hindi- 55 minutes

     * Stenographer Grade 'D': English- 50 minutes, Hindi- 65 minutes

                                                Syllabus for CBT:

 * General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Problem-Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discriminating Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetical Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Venn Diagram, Direction & Distance, Blood Relation, Order & Ranking.

 * General Awareness: Questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including the Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, Sports, Current Affairs, and Static GK.

 * English Language & Comprehension: Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Error Recognition, Idioms & Phrases, One Word Substitution, Spellings, Sentence Improvement, Active/Passive Voice, Direct/Indirect Narration, Cloze Passage, Reading Comprehension.
